We specify warm white in the 2200 to 3000 K range with CRI above 80, or above 90 where the scheme relies on natural stone, timber and fabric surfaces. Fixtures are aimed to graze materials rather than flood them, and shields are used wherever a source could be seen from a guest window or terrace.
On facades and courtyards we keep the lit surfaces low and warm so the building feels occupied rather than floodlit, and we use the minimum number of visible fixtures. Interior cove, handrail and step lighting uses our linear range with seamless joints.
For resorts and landscapes we add concealed linear lights along paths and planters, and IP67 or IP68 rated fixtures wherever irrigation and standing water are a factor.
